Working toward release version, p2

Demo v5 is now available to download! This version includes a lot of tweaks that have been worked on since the last build. A lot of the changes were mentioned in the previous devlog, but here are some new changes since then:

  • The PC/Mac version of the game now displays at 800x600 instead of 400x600. This may still need some tweaking, but it should fix a few positioning errors on PC and make it easier to read the text.
  • BGM has been added to most of the game. Some of it may need to be double-checked for relevance to the scenes in question, but every playable scene should have some music playing now.
  • A few minor tweaks to visuals (save icon placement, etc.)
  • (Hopefully) the final fix to odd week number behavior. I think I mentioned this last time, but it started acting up again. So I fixed it yet again.

I didn't test this build as heavily as the last one, so let me know if any strange issues or bugs arise. I'm particularly interested in whether the different aspect ratios between desktop and mobile versions works as intended. It seemed to work fine in my tests, but I don't have a wide enough range of devices to test every possibility.

At any rate, I hope people continue to enjoy the game! With luck, the next version should be the "release" version, with character art included.

I'm still getting the week number error you mentioned on android.

Love the stories by the way, I'd love to see more of the stories post Christmas date though.

Great work keep at it and I can't wait till the next update

I'll take a look into that bug again. I'm a little confused how it keeps coming back... At any rate, thanks for letting me know about it.

I'm glad you're liking the game so far. There's no real plan to continue the stories after the current endings, but future updates may include some additional scenes for each character during the main game. Update content is a bit subject to change at the moment, so we'll see what happens.

I'll do what I can to try to get the art and update content back on track, but I'm also nearing completion of my main project this year, so that will likely take priority.

Thanks for the input, and I hope you continue to enjoy the game!
