Cho Fukuda

Akomi Miyazaki

Akomi likes food, anime, and making dirty jokes. While it's easy to write her off as perverted, she also has a serious side that comes out if she senses anyone is genuinely hurt by something she said. She works as a modeler for a 3D animation studio.

Seeing Cho's dejection after losing her commission, Akomi convinces her manager to take on Cho as a temporary worker. Around the same time, a struggling film producer approaches the studio for his latest project, needing the help of a costume designer for post-production modifications. Cho then has to figure out if she wants to keep her job working alongside Akomi, or else return to the freelance work she is used to.

Kagami Nakayama

Kagami is often quiet and reserved, but not out of shyness or disinterest. Her carefully constructed sentences serve to make up for her difficulty in expressing her emotions in moderate ways. Aside from her main job as a programmer, she spends much of her free time creating indie games.

After Cho loses her commission, Kagami tries to take Cho's mind off the setback by having Cho help her on her latest indie project. While Cho gets along with the other members of the indie circle, she can't help but feel she is holding them back. A chance meeting with a disgraced fashion designer offers a more familiar choice, leaving Cho with a decision to make.

Yue Ishikami

Yue is very standoffish and judgmental with people her own age, which makes her ability to maintain patience around children all the more surprising. While she has softened over the years, she remains critical of people she thinks can do better. These days, she works as a teacher for elementary school students, who rarely see her bad side more than once.

A few days after Cho loses her commission, she goes to meet Yue at the school she works at to discover that the annual school play is going to be cancelled from lack of interest. Joining with an upset alumna of the school, Cho and Yue decide to work on the play for free in order to prove it should stay. After discovering that their ally is a rising theatre director, Cho wonders if her own life should be dedicated to the stage.
